The Markmaking Series...
...is inspired by the great beauty that I find in man made and natural abstractions. I base the work on my photographs and then use traditional media to add to both content and surface. I'm especially interested in featuring the beauty of that which is often overlooked; visual records of what has taken place.
All of my work considers our perceptions and choices. The marks created by those choices are our legacy. Many images in this series are based on found shoe prints.
